Demonoid Down?? - Club CDFreaks

Hi - I have been having problems accessing the Demonoid website in the last couple of days and am wondering if the site is down at the moment - I am in Canberra Australia

Yes it has been down for me too, and i've noticed that in torrents, inferno.demonoid.com is connecting but refusing connections.
I also know that Isohunt has recently started blocking US downloads from their own trackers. Australia shouldnt have a problem though.

Bastards! It was a great source for indie music and ppl cared about ratios. why cant they go after individuals who leak copyrighted material? what does the site have to do with the industries junk?!

There is nothing new, all it talks about is that it left the Netherlands because of pressure from Brein on it's hosting provider LeaseWeb and it moved to Canada. It's now offline supposedly because of the CRIA.

I think most of us know that you can ping the address and still get a active response.

Since the recent email-leakage from MediaDefender-Defenders The Pirate Bay now has proof of the things they've been suspecting for a long time; the big record and movie labels are paying professional hackers, saboteurs and ddosers to destroy our trackers.

Because of this The Pirate Bay has filed a lawsuit.

So I guess we will just have to sit tight and see what becomes.

Man... the P2P industry is going downhill. Pirate Bay has proven to be unstable, Demonoid keeps shuting down, and now, Torrentspy is full of PORN advertisements! (On the bottom of the pages). I won't be surprised if eventually many if not all P2P sites will be shut down.
