| BlindWrite 4 Tutorial - Writing This is the first screen in BlindWrite (Writing), there are 4 options.
This screen is made up of 2 parts, the CD writer selection and the Information/Advanced tabs. Use the dropdown box to select the CD Writer (if you have more than one) then click Next. The Information tab contain the information as reported by the currently selected writer, the Max. ReWrite will show ? unless you have a CD-RW disc in the drive as this information is read from the disc not the drive. The Advanced tab (shown below) is where you can change the allowed write modes if it is not listed in the last writing window, put a check in the boxes next to the write modes you want available and click on Save the Changes. ![]() Note: The CD Unit Database is no longer updated and the SAO Raw with R-W writing mode has been removed, so even if selected it will not be available to use. The Select a CD-Rom image window (below) is where you need to select the CD image you want to write. You can either type the path to the image in the space or click the folder icon and navigate to the image file. ![]() One thing to note here is the ![]() The Select CD-Rom image window will change and list the Songs in the CD TOC Details window, next to CD Time it will display the required space in time. ![]() Once you are done selecting a CD image or music folder click Next. In the next window is the Image Verification screen, if you have LiveAssist turned on and the disc you are backing up is in the database you will get a popup like: ![]() Click the Once completed it will look similar to the image below. ![]() If after running the image verification you get DO NOT write the image or you will have a nice new coaster, redo the image from the original CD at a slower speed. Note: If you are coping a SecuRom New (4.77.00.0055 and above) protected game next to 'Physical media' it will say 'Physical data found' if your .BWA file is in the correct folder. Once finished and you have a good image click Next to go to the Write CD-Rom window (below). In the Write CD-Rom window is where you need to select the Writing Mode and write speed, use the dropdown boxes to change either setting. Normally using the DAO Pw writing mode will result in a good burn, if you encounter problems lower the write speed. When you are ready to burn click the button to write the image once, use the button if you want to write the image multiple times (you will be prompted for a new blank after each burn)![]() If you have AutoPlay turned off and are writing a SecuRom 4.8+ disc with a .BWA file you will be presented with: ![]() Click Yes or the BWA information will not be included. BlindWrite Configuration window: ![]() In here you can turn off the checking for newer versions of BlindWrite, disable the Live Assist and more importantly turn off Autoplay support. How you set these options is entirely up to you.
