What Kind Of Protection Is On This Thing!!! - Club CDFreaks

Ill looked through the whole CD & DVD Protections thread and it wasnt there.

I really, really, REALLY, really, really need to know what protection is on Zoo Tycoon 2 and it's expansion packs.

Does anyone out there know?

Can anyone PLEASE find out?

Im going to go crazy if I cant burn this game!!!

All help and advice is highly appreciated.

i don't know much about games, but have you tried checking the type of protection with A-ray scanner?

or was your problem that A-ray wouldn't work?

I think Zoo Tycoon 2 is protected by SmartE I think its like safedisc.

Ok so it's SmartE how do I burn it now? What do I need to get? Sorry. I want to burn a second copy of my Zoo Tycoon 2 so my bro can play it without my bugging me all the time :P

Does anyone know to backup CD with SmartE?

Welcome talr,

CloneCD and Alcohol 120% do the job never tried BlindWrite in combination with SmartE but I guess it shouldn't be a problem either. I would use Aclohol's SafeDisc settings for reading and writing it normally does the job.
