| This Question really belongs in the Media Forum, but I will keep i here because for a while because I think it is good for any newcommer. Look & browse here for elaborate explainations: http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread....id=61943#10)10 In short, DYE is a physical subsance - not like the kind used to color hair- used for the laser to burn pits into later to be interpreted as by the cd-rom reader (0 and 1's) and some DYE lasts longer than others, the same way some metals last longer than others before aging agents kick into effect and oxidize them. Same here with DYE, we now have tools to identify, such as Tayio Yuden, TDK, Rytek, CMC, etc... and various tetsing tools and test results all that can be found in the media forum, I suggest you browse more there. http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=77 If you want this Question can be moved there where experts in the field can far more elaborate and twist your mind with technical explaiantions so that you become as confused a person as I am...hehehe ![]()
