Trying to backup to hdd using LiteOn HD-A740GX HDD Recorder - Club CDFreaks

I HAVE RECENTLY BOUGHT A LITE-ON HD-A740GX HDD RECORDER. I AM TRYING TO COPY BOTH VHS AND DVD's TO THE HARD DRIVE BUT EACH TIME I DO THIS IT TELLS ME THAT THE RECORDING IS COPYRIGHT PROTECTED
(WELL DAW). I THINK I CAN DO THIS THROUGH THE COAXIAL CONNECTION BUT I WILL PROBABLY LOOSE SOME QUALITY. I WOULD RATHER DO IT THROUGH THE SCART. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

For future reference, please be aware that the use of caps is considered shouting and very inpolite. Furthermore, a more descriptive title than "Emergency" is more likely to attract attention (people may ignore thread titles like "Emergency" or "Help", while they are willing to have a look when they can see what it is about).
