Re: Safedisc 4.00.000 Successes and Non-Successes

Game: Sims2 University Retail (store bought)
Burner: Lite-On 52327S With Dec 2004 Firmware Update
Software: Alcohol 120% (newest version)
Read Speed: 1X
Profile: Safedisk 2/3 Setting

Made image on drive with Lite-On 52327S using Newest Version of Alcohol 120% Listed on previous posts above. Alco listed all kinds of error information as it was making the image, but this is evidently ok, just information.

Mounted images as needed (including Sims 2 Disk 4) using Alcohol image drive to install University. (Just ONE image drive, switching images as needed).

Mounted Image Disk 1 (Play Disk) on Alcohol 120% image drive, failed.

Mounted Image Disk 1 (Play Disk) on Newest Daemon Tools and it is working just fine.

Have not tried to make/burn disks from images as the kids can play it from the image, and the Retail Disks are safely tucked away where they cannot ruin them!!!

Hope this is of some help to someone.

P.S. I did try, and it worked, just as an experiment, and made 100% working disks of our first Sims 2 (4 CD version), but other than testing it on our computer one time (installed and ran from the backup disks), we never had use for them again. Better the kids only use the Image on the drive anyway, Eh.

IMHO

Game: The Sims 2 University
Writer: LG GSA 4120B
Reader: LG GSA 4120B
Program(s): Alcohol 1.9.2 and CloneCD 5.1.0.0
Profile: Alcohol (SafeDisc 2/3), CloneCD (Protection Game)
Result: I can mount the 2 images in Daemon Tool but I can't get a successfully copy of the game because blacklisting.

NO SUCCESS

When I will burn the Sims 2 University with the profile SafeDisc 2/3 in Alcohol then nothing runs.
CloneCD seems to be blacklisting with SafeDisc 4 to my computer.

What do you that Sims University run on your computer???
Actually the Lg is one of the best wirters in SafeDisc. I can't understand this
What do I do wrong??

Once I created a copy of an SafeDisc 3.2 game but the copy runs in few drivers and sometimes it didn't run more yet.
Starting from SafeDisc 3.2 the drivers must be very tolerantly and the hardware takes a important role, too.
The SafeDisc 3.2 copy runs at that time only in my LG GDR 8163 reader..

Please help me

I am tring to make a backup copy of MVP2005. I have a Toshiba SD-R2512 CD/DVD-Rom drive. I was tring to use Alcohol 120% version 1.9.5 to make the backup copy. It has SafeDisc v4 copy protection on the game. Alcohol 120% only has a setting for SafeDisc v2/3. What should I do to make the backup copy?

The SIMS 2 University Expansion Pack.
Successfully backed up using ALCOHOL version 1.9.5.2722 (no emulation needed to play game).
Profile: Safedisc 2/3 used.
Image created @ 4x speed and Burned @ 4x speed using Liteon ldw 811.
Game played using Liteon 163d dvd rom drive.

Also out of curiosity tried backing up said game using Latest version of
ClONECD without success. After installation, message appears game detects
emulation software installed.
CLONECD is ....

Will try BLINDWRITE in the next couple of days and report back.

Re: Safedisc 4.00.000 Successes and Non-Successes

In order to get the 'Hide ATIP' feature:

1. Control Panel, Region Settings, Change Bottom listiing to Canada. Leave ALL other settings as is.

2. Install newest version of CloneCD, and reboot your computer as directed.

When you reboot your computer the CloneCD Weak Sectors, and Hide ATIP should ALL be activated now.

Hope this is the anwer you wanted???

I Thought it was impossible to make a backup of safedis for DVD, due to the fact that DVD drives can't write raw, uncorrected information to dvd. Does any know for sure??

I've never had a problem with discjuggler backing up safedisc (but then again, i bought it about 6 months ago) but it successfully backs up everything.
