Problems Copying Warcraft III

hello,

i have tried Alcohol, Roxio, and Clone none of them seem to eliminate the error "please ensure your Warcraft III" cd is installed. i am trying to make a back up copy for my son to use so he doesn't scratch up the original (which always seems to happen no matter how careful he is).

right now i am attempting to use blindwrite and tweaker, but it doesn't seem to be working right either.

Help please.

Re: Problems Copying Warcraft III

Not really a Newbie question so I'll transfer this to CD & DVD Copy Protection forum.

You might like to do a search on that forum first, since there's probably a lot of relevant information already there about WoW III (eg this post, and this external link)

Re: Problems Copying Warcraft III

use protection id to idenify the protection then use the latist alcohol 120%.
alcohol toolbar or 120search.net/ with www. in front. should also help find the protection.
the game will backup but run i do not know as i have not backed up to cd-r/rw or cd+r/rw.

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (english) SecuROM 4.68.00.4608
Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos (german) SecuROM 4.68.00.5162
WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne SecuROM 4.84.81.8291
WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne Patch v1.13b SecuROM 5.00.007
Warcraft III Patch 1.06 SecuROM 4.84.76.8019
Warcraft III Patch 1.11 SecuROM 4.84.81.8237
Warcraft III Patch 1.12 SecuROM 4.84.81.8291

if patched after use the version compatible with Securom before patching.

i backed up to harddrive but i found the single player did not run but game started.
