Please Help(Safedisc2.xx)

Hi all,
I know this has been talked about alot when it was a new game but doing searches has not helped me so i will go onto my problem....

I have a micro advantage burner and ive done the efm test and found out that its a 2 sheep burner and the game is medal of honor allied assault.I have downloaded a trial version of alcohol software and tried to make a back up of the game and here is my results....

reading-safedisk setting
Speed 4x
Writing-safedisk settings
speed 4x

When i tried to play the backup it says cant find cdrom insert disk so i tried

reading-safedisk2/3 settings
speed 4x
writing-safedisk2/3 settings
speed 4x

Same problem and i also tried different media(cdrs)and its a no go,the game will install good but still asked for cd.The only way to get the game to play from the backup is hide cdr media option in alcohol program. Please help if you can cause i have been trying other burning software and still not working but i hear the this software is the best so i would like to stick with this. This has became my destiny to get a working backup...lol,the only thing i can think of is the atip check protection but i shouldent have a problem since i have a newer 2 sheep burner and its an older protection...please help

hmmmm.... for safedisk 2.x clonecd 4.3/5 is your best bet, but it may be that in alcohol 120% all you need to do is go to the "emulation" tab and make sure "ignore media type" is checked. if it is and the game still wont play you could try playing it in a reader (not writer) or maybe use blindwrite 5's autoplay as a last resort.

If playing your backup from a cd-burner, the "ignore media type" option MUST be checked for the game to work. There is no way around this, other than to play the backup from a cd/dvd drive (non-burner) as these drives do not read disc ATIP.

It sounds like you made a good copy though, using safedisc profile at 4x.

Thanks for the info,i thought that if you had a 2 sheep burner that it would be a 1-1 copy, but thanks for clearing that up,so what your saying is that safedisc 2.5 and up you really cant make a 1-1 copy even with a good burner?

Re: Please Help(Safedisc2.xx)

The trouble is that burners can read the ATIP info on a cd-r. This means that a backup made onto a cd-r can always be recognised as a "backup" by the burner and so a utility is required to hide the ATIP info. If you play your backup from a non-burner, you will not have this problem. So in one sense it is not a true 1:1 backup, but due to the nature of a cd-r it is not possible to do this. I play all my backups from a Liteon DVD-Rom drive to avoid the ATIP problem.

Re: Please Help(Safedisc2.xx)

ok, by game "fix" i think you are refering no a n0_cd/fixed exe cr@ck, these are where the copy protection for the game has been removed/disabled. these are illegal and so we dont discuss them here ben
