"Mastering facilities interested in providing SunnComm MediaCloQ as a copy protection option for their customers must contact SunnComm Inc. DCA will provide licensed SunnComm customers with a plug-in option to DCA's Mastering product MIS V6.40."
SunnComm's Chairman John D. Aquilino stated, "The implementation of MediaCloQ Technology into the manufacturing plants can now be done quickly and efficiently using a software upgrade. The deployment pace can grow exponentially and we will be able to offer this product solution to CD replication plants worldwide without any major equipment modifications."
I was wondering if anyone has an example of this plugin or a copy of it?
MediaCloQ was one of the first copy prevention schemes from back in the day and I was always fascinated about how they implemented it in mastering facilities without any hardware. I remember reading another article that MediaCloQ is done all through software.
I'm doing a report on the downfall of copy protection for school and I'm comparing the various techniques used by the major companies over the years, and going into detail about how they were implemented in mastering facilities, as far as being software based or hardware based.
If any of the experts here at Cdfreaks, can send me a pm with some info, would be greatly appreciated.
