The Inside Man DVD - Protection Galore - Club CDFreaks

Hi all

I thought i would run the latest version of AnyDVD over the new movie The Inside Man, and i was shocked to see such a huge list of copy protection methods for this movie - check it out below:

RCE protection not found.
Found & removed wrong DVD structure!
Found & removed Macrovision RipGuard protection!
Found & removed error zones between files!
Found & removed invalid VOBUs!
Found & removed invalid program from program chain!
Autorun not found on Video DVD.
Found & removed 2 bad sector protections!
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 4!

Ive never seen so many varieties of protection on one movie dvd, this must be the most copy protected movie yet. We all know that the so called RipGuard was defeated with AnyDVD and should be called R.I.P.Guard

So have you figured out how to back up this movie? I have DVD Encrypter, AnyDVD, and DVDShrink and can not get it to work. DVDShrink totally shuts down!!

Welcome to the forum. Are you sure you do not have a bad source disc because again I have had no problems with this title using the lastest version of AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. I have also had success with other proggys.

I have Ripped his movie using DVDFab Platinum(Gold Mode)2.8.9.3 and then Shrink it with DVD Shrink Fine working For me With Excellent QUALITY.

I had the same problem with anydvd and clonedvd .... dvdfab express worked fine for me.

When AnyDvD does not work go this route.

Using a program called RipIt4Me as the frontend tool to DvD Shrink and DvD Decrypter for removing copy protections. FixVts is used as well.

The link at the bottom leads to 4 guides using the following software programs.
