| How to copy protect music?? Ok, I need to rip a CD for distribution, but I need to copy protect the files. How do I do this? With what formats is this possible? We are a small independant record label and are offering an album in digital format for download at half the price of the CD. So, we want the users to be able to download the files, burn, but not copy to other computers. How does this work? Thanks! |

| You'll only defeat a casual attempt at copying with most protections. The big time copy protections are expensive. If you want them to burn, it then it will be difficult. The usual method of audio protection relies on the fact that PC players read the first session which can be corrupted data (second session is audio) and CD-DA players only read the audio session which can be the second session
