Re: holiday world

What protection does the game use, and what cd/dvd drives do you have?

Re: holiday world

ProtectCD V5 laut verschiedenen Foren und laut ClonyXXL ProtectCD V.0.4
Meine Laufwerke: Sony DVD-ROM DDU 1612 / Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-105

English:
The protection is ProtectCD V5, but Clony says its ProtectCD V.0.4
I've got a Sony DVD-ROM DDU 1612 and a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR-105

Re: holiday world

ClonyXXL is out of date, so i wouldn't trust it for newer games.

Unfortunatley, i don't think it is possible to make a working backup of this protection at the moment. Reading the disc at 4x with alcohol (using Vob ProtectCD 5) might produce a working image, but it is very difficult to put onto a cd-r. Have you tried reading the disc with both your drives?

If you enable all emulation options in alcohol, does the game still not verify?

Re: holiday world

I tried both drives. The Problem is, that the Game disables the Emulation of Alcohol and deamon-tools.
What should i use instead of Clony?

Re: holiday world

Try the new version of Daemon Tools with RMPS emulation activated. The blacklisting problem may well have been overcome.

Re: holiday world

Instead of Clony, you can use A-ray Scanner:

And if you haven't already, the latest DT (v3.47) is available to download from here. It fixes most blacklisting issues:

deamon-tools v v3.47 still doesn't work. I'll wait for the next version. THX for help.
