Help Needed To Identify The Type Of Copy Protection On Disc

Hi all, I've got 2 discs I wished to backup but I do not know what type of copy protection is used. I use ARay scanner and protectionID4.0, both could not detect what type of copy protection. Then I use clonyxxl to scan the disc, 'BAD SECTORS' @xxxxxx was popped up.

So, is there other disc scanner or any advise that I can use? Tks.

Whats the disc title?

If it isn't popular, maybe its a simple protection which is kinda like a homeade protection, using nothing but bad sectors.

Hi xtacydima, what I did just now was installed Alcoholer 4.1 and Alcohol 120% ver 143 build 518. I know the 120% is an old version but I uses the 'Bad Sectors' profile provided by Alcoholer and run 120%. I made an image and mounted with 120% virtual drive. But the software runs for a few seconds and the screen disappear. So I guess the protection is still there and could not be identified by the software and myself. Anymore help? )

Hi merther02, it's not a game but rather some educational software. The title is 'Jumpstart to Easy Reading' Disc 1 and 2'. I just used 'BlindWrite 5', still the same, the CD I produced could not start the software.

Hi,

I havent heard of that. Your best bet is to use Alcohol 120% with Generic CD Protection (or something like that).
