Re: Help! Circumventing Crysis's Securom

YASU is a Mac application, and i'm on xp pro, so what now?

So, if I understand correctly, this will make crysis able to be played without a the original disc, right? So I won't burn the game to another DVD? The game is 5.46 GB, and all I have are 4.7 GB DVD's.

Re: Help! Circumventing Crysis's Securom

Get the Y.A.S.U that will work on windows. Spend sometime reading through the forum, and yes it will.

You have to emulate copy protections when it comes to DVD games, unless you have a real good grasp of code and then a write around can be done.

Re: Help! Circumventing Crysis's Securom

Should be Ver 1.4 (build 7080)

http://copybase.org/yasu/ - Read the readme.txt

Make sure you are using the latest versions of the programs.

You are making images and saving them on your Hard Drive. When you play the game you will be mounting the image with Damon Tools ( Which would be like you are putting a disk in the drive) and using Y.A.S.U. to emulate the original copy protection that is on the original disk and play away.

If you find that this method works for you then what you could do for the future is to burn the appropriate files to dvd as data. Then if you wish to play again down the road you will not have to go through all these steps again.

Yasu isn't an emulating tool for copy protections it's an anti blacklisting tool.

Re: Help! Circumventing Crysis's Securom

It will only let me download the yasu.exe. It won't let me download the "package". Is the .exe the only thing I will need?

Additionally - all I can find is DAEMON Tools Lite 4.12.1. The guy in the tutorial used DAMEON Tools 4.11.2. Does the version of DAMEAON tools really matter? If it does matter, could someone please find a link for me? I would really appreciate it.

Thanks guys

Nevermind I didn't read . They confirmed it works with DAMEON tools 4.12 as well. But will all I need is the .exe?

Yes the Y.A.S.U.exe file will be fine.
