I just bought the Exact 52x at Fry's on sale.
I tried to find the company on the net, but no luck.
Upon opening the box, I noticed the unit looked different than the picture on the box.
The tray door is rectangular, the two buttons on the right are rectangular. The LED light is rectangular and is next to the volume control.

The most interesting thing is it is a model #CRW-5224. I put just the model # into Google and hit enter.

Give it a try

That is the same model number as an AOPEN 52x drive. If that drive is rebaged with the AOpen, then it is a SafeDisc 2 Killer. That is also the same model number as the ASUS 52x drive.
