copy protection of anastasia 2004 audio cd

Hello,

is here anyone who made a copy of the above audio cd?
I tried it with blindwrite, clonecd and nero but it did not work fine.
It is possible to make it, but during playback the cd is repeating every second of the song 3 times and it is very boring.
May you know an answer? Thanks.

Greets,

I know it sounds weird but WMP9 maybe able to get the tracks into WMA format, then you can burn them onto a cd.

1:1 copy i don't know i havent got the cd.

Also, could you write which type of burner you have, and give the cd a scan with clonyxxl/a-ray

www.aray-software.com - a-ray
www.downseek.com/download/22029.asp - clonyxxl

Hope this will help your cause.

If it is Key2Audio it should be copyable with a decent burner.

Same with Cactus Data Shield, a plex premium should do the trick for this cd, please say which type of burner you have.

Also welcome to the forum, masterjp!

No success

Hi,

thank you for your ideas and hints. WMP9 was very funny, it copied the audio tracks to wma on harddisk. The soundfiles contain the music and during playback you can hear every second three times. It sounds bad and is the same as to make a copy with clone cd. I do not think that Softmicro makes software for duplication of copy protected music cd's.
Okay, I tested A-Ray scanner and it did not find anything. CloneXXL did not recognized the protection.
The Anastasia CD is a product of sony music and on the cd you find atrac 3, ogg or mp3 audiofiles with DRM (digital right managment) in a OGM audio format file which you can only play with the cheap sony music player. There must be a key on the audio cd to give you the right to copy the audio files with the sony audio player to harddisk. Then you can play them without the anastasia audio cd on your pc.

I got a plextor 40x CD-ROM; 16x CD-R and 4x CDRW burner and a Pioneer DVR-105 (DVD & CD-burner). Tomorrow I try to use the plextor to make a backup.
Maybe it helps!

Greets,

There are a lot of MP3 rippers if your method doesnt work.

such as

http://www.goodeasy.net/download/mp3ripper.exe

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/c..._mirror=heanet - this one is free i think

Just ripped it using a method found on another thread in here. . . I had initially just thrown it into my CD ti rip, but the auto run did it's thing and installed the software without my permission which made it rip badly. The answer was to restart my PC in diagnostic mode and rip from there. . it doesn't start the treacherous driver that screws the ripping up this way so ripping goes fine. Then just re-started again in normal mode and Robert's Yer Mother's Brother as we say here in Blighty!
