Computer won't detect NFS MW - How to get around it?

Hey guys. I have searched everywhere and this forum seems most promising. After days of research, I have found that neither my drive not my disc if faulty. The disc is almost perfectly clean and the drive works perfectly with other discs. I even tested the disc on another computer without burning hardware and it worked.
Now I know that this disc has copy protection. I own a completely legal cd and I want to get around this protection somehow. When I insert the DVD cd, the driv e light seems to be reading it but then it just turns off. Nothing happens. When I go to My computer, it doesnt even say there is a disc in the drive!

How do I get around this and what type of protection is this?

Can someone atleast tell me how to remove any traces of emulation or burning software from the system so this cd might atleast load up?

Its alright. I don't think the dvd is faulty, i tried it on another computer with a non RW drive and it worked perfectly.

@MaXXXpayne

No more talk about NoCD fixes/patches, it is not allowed on this forum.
A link to the forum rules can be found in my sig, you should read them before posting again.
