I have read with Alcoloh 120% for Toshiba SD-R5372 for Firmware TU56
for Safe disck 2/3 and low speed read, or read with CloneCD

I've burn for Clone-cd with toshiba SD-R5372 for max speed 4x

-Used only verbatim super azo CD-R (Crystal, not Verbatim White), or Plextror CD-R.

It's works always (alcohol, clone-cd, dowload-->Clone-cd).

I've created a new profile on Clone-Cd, as back post.

I've usend also alcohol, it's works both software.

and you have burn and read at 2X ?

I try but no result : " your Cd is'nt compatible"

8 Cds with 8 different methods, i stop it : my Cds Dx France : 75 € (about 90 $) , 8 Cds : 8 € ( 10 $).

Burning is expensive.

For the moment i'm waiting about a good method.

I did it succesfull !

I've got some images somewhere (...)

The file was given with copying file instruction for Clone CD.

It was good only with TDK 700 mb 80 mn 52x and Samsung DVD writer

In final, i think that the best is to:

- make a correct image in a computer with the original disc.
- and after write the image in another computer.

Many years before: when you buy some vinyl diiscs, your could write audio tapes.

I never do some commerce and nobody on my friends too.

It was only to preserve the original sound of vinyl discs and listen on my cars.

Why in 2008, did they install protection every where, hiding behind illicite commerce system ?

But any system one day will be burned...

FINELY IT WORKS to backup scandinavian DX CD!!!
Go and by a Samsung SH-203D Burned and use CD copy by CloneCD and you get your backup (2 x speed).
Burned approx 40 CD's on a NEC ND3550A without luck before I get an SH-203D as a tip from this forum. (wanted SH-203B but got D versino as work just as good)
