Hi I hope someone can help me with this. I have Oblivion GOTY edition DVD and I cannot seem to be able to mount my backup images.

[21:06:42 PM] SecuROM 7.00.00.0001 detected -> F:\setup.exe

I have created the image with Alcohol v1.9.7 using the only securom datatype listed for DVD's. I even tried 1x / high precision setting for the DPM analysis.
The error I get is this:
Please insert the original disc instead of a backup (1000)

I'm assuming that I have a good image, but something is either blacklisted as far as Daemon tools (im using v4.12.3) or my IDE dvd rom drives are causing DT to get blacklisted.

So far I've tried YASU 1.4 and SR loader but they both result in the message:
A required security module cannot be activated.
This program cannot be executed (7000)

From what I understand securom is only loaded into the setup module so I should have better luck once its actually installed. But I cant get past these errors.

Has anyone had any luck with getting a backup image mounted? If I have to use the original DVD to install It will sort of defeat the purpose for backing it up.

I think I will try to install from the original and see If I can play with the mounted image for now.

I don't even know if that will work, I've had a hellofa time with securom. I think slysoft's game jackal might work for you I do believe you get a free trial 30 day I think

I think oblivion goty is just oblivion elder scrolls 4 plus all of the plugins. so just oblivion elderscrolls on dvd pc is not copy protected. buy it then just buy plugins seperately I have no problem with my backup or oblivion. (I do own original also)
