| what is the diffrence between transcode and re-encode what is the diffrence between transcode and re-encode what are the diffrences and how do thay both work and why is one better than the other just interested becasue i use CCE and DVD2one and wanted to know how DVD2one is much faster how much better would you say CCE over DVD2one, will DVD2one ever be as good as CCE please help interested in this thanks |

| Transcoding is taking a source directly from a compressed source and outputs a compressed source without decompressing the stream entirely. Re-encoding is taking a source, decompressing it, and recompressing it. I would say that DVD2One could definitely be better than CCE, since (if the source is good), the MV's will already be what they "should", and since you won't get a larger amount of DCT error. |
