DVD2One Discuss, UDF Version? at Copy Movie forum; I've been reading lots of stuff on this forum about udf versions and now I'm confused. For best compatibility with standalone dvd players which UDF version is the best to us when writing these dvds. Thanks

Because I produce DVDs at a professional level, I have the very expensive Gear PRO Mastering software at my disposal to produce my discs.

For video DVD burning this software does not allow you to select anything but UDF version 1.02! By way of explanation it states: '...We recommend to use UDF version 1.02 for compatibility reasons..'

Alright, that's great. I'll just use UDF 1.02 in Nero when burning with Nero 5.5.10.7.

Thanks

I have always burnt with Nero selecting UDF 1.02 and NEVER have any playback problems.
