I burned Green Mile on a Ritek disc at 2X and lost the last few chapters. I then burned it on a Pioneer rewritable at 1X and it worked. I then burned on a Ritek at 1X and it worked fine. So many possible variables...I've been using Riteks without problems and maybe this was my first bad one, or maybe it happens at 2X on really big movies. The adventure continues.

Burned Green Mile last night with RecordNow Max. No probs at all with ANY chapters. RecordNow said the filesize was over 4.4Gb instead of the DVD2one usual 4.36gb but burned cleanly. I do keep overburn turned on just in case.

I'm using either Fuji, Verbatim or Philips +R media in a Philips DVDRW228 burner and it's all good.

As johned says, it's most likely to be your media.

Try Datasafe riteks or Traxdatas and it'll be fine.

Many a cheap disk gives up the ghost, in the last few chapters.

ive tried it on bulqpaq green 2x, superior 2x, not tried actually writin at 1x, will do, ive got some purple bulk paq 1x disc`s will try those, the weird thing is, if it is the media then why, if i copy gladiator, (dvd9 usin dvd2one) does that work on all my dvd players faultlessly...and also if i use dvd-decryptor in iso mode to 1:1 copy a dvd5 movie, they work flawlessly, on all, with the medias listed at the top on 2x..............seems a little strange that one media works with one peice of software and another one does`nt.............................

ANYWAY WILL POST RESULTS LATER

I know what you're saying, but if you have successfully copied Gladiator, you must be following the right procedure.

I would put money on media being your problem. I tried cheaper stuff (Bulpaq purples and unbranded), some while back, but these are only really any good for data, mp3's etc.. Movies need superior stuff, especialy when they are being played in standalone players.

I must say, I did have one spindle of Bulpaq Greens, that worked ok, when burnt at 1X , but the next spindle were rubbish, coaster after coaster, so I decided to use Datasafe Ritek and haven't had a problem in months, Traxdata are equally good, but more expensive.

Grab a Traxdata or Datasafe and you'll be laughing

Bulqpacks', tried several off them (green and purple) and i must admit the make a great coaster for my beerglass on the livingroomtable.
But suck bigtime when it comes to being used for a dvd-r.

well tried me green bulqpak and at 1x they work, the weird thing is they just seem to be dodgy on the movies that i do with dvd2one, i have authored quite a few of my own and they all work fine, and i use this media for xbox as well, bit strange but hopefully ive sorted it now, time to get burnin!!!!!!!!!!

I've burnt a couple of films - Oceans 11 & Harry Potter & Philosophers Stone on Ricoh +RW and they both bombed out with 6 mins of film left to play.

Changed media to Datawrite DVD+R and no problems sofar.

I posted awhile back on getting coasters with Ritek media burned on my Pioneer 104 at 2X. I've determined that this batch of Ritek burns sucessfully at 1X but not 2X. So, for me, it's my choice of media for this specific application. Very happy with my Riteks otherwise and will burn at 1X. DVD2one fills these things right to the brim and I, not being an expert on all of this, think it pushes media to their limit. Regardless, I've adjusted my burn speed for this batch of 50 Ritek and will bump up my media quality next time around.

maybe it could be dvd2one, like i say any other dvd that i copy works perfectly on 2x and in every standalone player that ive tried (about 15, mustek, apex, ps2, xbox, lg, sony etc etc, they work fine on this media, if they are dvd 5 films that i copy with dvd decrypter 1:1 copy, even if the films are about 4.6 gig, which counts out the "push the media to its limits" theory........just a little strange, i definately think in the next version it should export it to an iso image for you.......
