| Murder By Numbers & Ocean Eleven I used DVDdecryptor to rip the movie to my HD like I do normally. But this time, I got a message ""Encryted Data detected"" from DVD2one with this movie. Region 1, NTSC, Canada. The size of the VOBS is strange with this movie, VObs 1,2,3 are 1gig, vob 4 is 260mb, then vobs 5,6 are 1 gig, then vob 7 is 900mb. Attempting to strip some audio stream with IfoEdit and I will try to feed the output to DVD2one. Will post results in a few mins... Last edited by Herbapou; 02-02-2003 at 21:30. |

| I am getting the same "Encryted Data detected" from the IfoEdit output. Well, I am going to delete everything and try again. I just check my DVDdecrypter version and its the latest... 3.1.4.0 I am currently running DVDdecrypter again... BTW my "Murder by numbers" is a special version for Canada only. If you did the US region 1 version, its not the same DVD. My version of the movie has an all french DVD cover and was made for Quebec. I bought it "Used" at blockbusters canada. Then often do that when the "normal" region 1 US/Canada DVD does not include the french audio track. Same problem again, I am giving up for now. Attempting Ocean Eleven, it has the same wierd VOB sizes (VOB 3 is only 45 megs). I will post results in a few mins... Ocean Eleven is working, no error message! | As I'm from Germany (using RC2-DVDs) I can't really help you with your main problem, but the sizes you got are NOT weird! I bet your DVD was authored by Warner Bros, 'cause they always split their files at the layer break. E.g., if you have a DVD-9 with sth. about 7 gigs, the first VOBs will 1 gig, then one smaller one (the last one on the first layer) and then again some files with 1 gig (the first ones on the second layer) and as a last file again one with less than one gig (the last one on the second layer). Was that clearly understandable? :-) |

| Yes, i had the same problem with "encryted data remaining" the dvd2one closes, i ripped with smartripper first, then i used dvd decriptor, same problem, luckily it was a huge discs"over "4.3g", so i just went back to the old-fashion way of doing things, with ifoedit/get vts sectors..... IT WILL HAPPEN TO EVERY1 SOONER OR LATER... |
