I'm a Macintosh user that just happens to have 3 PC's also. After playing with the Trial version of
dvd2one, I couldn't wait to buy the pgrm and watch it do it's thing. I've burned one backup already and I must admit that I'm very, very impressed! Whatever engine is being used to do the transcode on the fly is amazing.
I rip the dvd's on my mac and then network into the G4 drive with the files from my HP over my ethernet network. Even leaving the files on the G4 Mac, I ripped a 135minute dvd down to 1 dvd in only 42 minutes. Thats not bad considering the program is running on the 637Mhz Celeron HP and reading and writing over 100mb ethernet to the G4. The dvd maintained all formatting, chapters and retained the 16x9 screen.
The only question I have is: Why won't dvd2one run under VirtualPC w/win2k? Oh well, guess I can't have it all!
So far, this is the best $44.25 I have spent in a long time!
