Mac OS X-Size too small “National Security.”

Mac OS X

I’m trying to make a “movie only” of a DVD called “National Security.”
I’ve chosed a title that has 28 chapters(I chose the 1st one when choosing a title), chose the output to DVDR(W), checked the boxes for AC3 6 channel, AC3 2 channel and english subtitle.
When the final output was finished, it gave me 2.92GB. What can I do to make the file size big enough(like 4.3GB or something) to almost fill up the DVD-R?
What should I put in the “User Defined” area?

G’Day,
Chun

Well, perhaps 2.9gb is the actual finished size with no compression.

how bug were the original vob files for the movie?

The VIDEO_TS folder can contain many VOBs that are unrelated to the main movie. There may be lots of extras, for instance. You must identify those VOBs which constitute just the main movie (and unfortunately I don't know what tools are available for the MAC to help you do this).

2.9Gb is small though. Are you quite sure you selected the right title?

Yes, I did choose the right tittle.
This DVD has the widescreen and fullframe format. I choose the widescreen.

The one I choose is the widscreen format and it's the main movie. I checked with Apple's DVD player and it was perfect, but, the size is too dang small.

G'day,
Chun

Too small does not exist as problem, only too big. If the result is smaller than the destination size, it simply means there is not more data and no compression is used.
Since your disk also contains a full frame version, and most like extra's or animated menu's, 2.9Gb is the correct size.
