It seems that when I used DVDXCopy, the insertion of that notice actually caused some loss of movie frames. Am I wrong? If not, there is going to be a skip right where you eliminate the notice. I suppose that`s better than seeing the notice but still undesirable.

Just rip the movie through decryptor and you won't see that notice anymore. I'm currently taking all my 2 disc backups that were done with dvdxcopy and making them onto 1 disc with dvd2one. It works really nice

Thanks Gobama

I'm in the same boat... I originally made my backups using dvdxcopy and am trying to convert them to dvdone. I ripped each disk into separate folders, checked the vob id of last nav pak of last vob in disk 1, used vobedit to join clips of disk 2, combined them with disk 1. Then I used ifoedit to create new ifo's and used dvd2one on the results. But that left me with the "please insert disk 2" notice/pause in the middle of the movie. Sometimes it even loops back to the beginning of the movie.

Are you saying that I should then use dvd decrypter again to get rid of the nag?

Or should I start over?

Any help would really be appreciated.

When I ran through the entire process as you described, it didn't ask me to insert disc 2 but it did repeat a scene once; then it played normally. I guess this has something to do with the way ifoedit handled the joining of the vob files. I'll do some checking and see what I can come up with to hopefully solve this problem.

Why would you join VOB files before using DVD2One?

I haven't tried it yet but all I'm gonna do is copy all the VOB's from DVD #1 and #2. I'm gonna rename the VOB's on #2 because they have the same names as on DVD #1.

My thinking is DVD2One will start at the 1st VOB and work it's magic til the last VOB. The last VOB's being the renamed VOB's from DVD #2.

I'm lucky .. I think I only made 1 movie using DVDXCopy.

Gee, I am just a newbie, but why would anyone make a backup of a backup, since they are suppose to have the original?

I guess you guys didn't read the notice from 321Studios in that they are giving out $10,000 rewards for conviction of piracy using their products.

"321 Studios, a leader in DVD authoring software, today announced the launch of their new DVD Piracy Prevention Program. This program seeks to prevent the illegal misuse of the company's products, DVD Copy Plus and DVD X Copy. Under the guidelines of the new program, 321 Studios will offer a $10,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of any parties misusing the software for pirating movies."
