If DVD2ONE works when you don't use a raid drive, there might be a solution there for you

An update......

I have checked out all the other threads that mention RAID issues. The problems do not sound the same, but I am going to give it a shot anyway.

I am in the process of making enough free space on my non-RAID 20G drive. I will let you all know how it works out.

Thanks,
Don

Ok, well it does not appear to be the RAID.

I repeated the entire process on my non-RAID drive:

Ripped Apollo 13 with DVD Decrypter, file mode, all files, then transcode with DVD2one in full disk mode. Gets to 99% and I get the IFO error referenced in previous posts.

I am at a loss. I will start looking at the decryption, since there really aren't many options to mess up in DVD2one.

BTW, it took almost 10 minutes longer to transcode on the non-RAID drive.

DonM, I just wanted to point something out with my experiences. Shuttle Spacewalker boards are great client end boards, usually in expensive and for the most part reliable until you start pushing them to limits. Usually this is a chipset and bios falacy where the bufferring, timings delays cause issues for video capturing, hard drive transfer speeds, memory deleays and so on. It may be a possibility that your shuttle board in general is the cause of the problem. You may consider disabling on the cache on the board and attempting this again.

Good Luck.

I am still getting this error - although, in this particular case, I am unable to rip certain blocks [broken blocks - smartripper calls it] due to the physical damage [thank you, kid!]. I have tried DVDecryptor with the same results.

However, I am able to play the DVD in disc mode from the ripped files on the hard disc with ofcourse few blocky patches a couple of places where I suspect the blocks could not be copied.

Needless to say I want to backup whatever good blocks I have to a single DVD but DVD2One keeps giving me this error.

I have tried both 1.1.1 and 1.1.2 versions.

I don't have a raid system, I only have one IDE drive no raid system. So that eliminates that whole topic. There is something else going on here.

Same here....99% crash

I get the same problem here, at 99% the program crashes, just when it creates the ifos and bups, some time ago it happened the same, then, i used full disc mode instead of movie only, and worked, but in stargate R2, didn't, so i used the ifoedit metod by copying the original ifos and bups and processing again with ifoedit and it worked fine.

So i think this is not a hardware problem but some dvd2one problem handling some instrution on the ifos.

My process is:
1.) Rip all files with DVD Decryptor
2.) Run DVD2One in "full disk" mode

It seems to be working for some here, but too many are having this same problem. Are we just unlucky in our choice of DVDs?

Previous versions of DVD2One worked fine for me. I was even able to do multiple sessions and extras using the various guides on this forum. So far "Last of the Mohicans" and "Gladiator" cannot be processed by DVD2One without the "IFO" error.

Renee, what is the author's perspective on this? Possible bug or user error?

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Error with 1.11

I am new here and am still trying to get around on this site. I have the same problem as you guys have but I am getting the "Error adjusting the IFO file" from programs that I have recorded from tv to my computer. I use Winfast PVR and have never had any problems until last night. After searching for other people with this problem it seems that they only have it with a ripped DVD so what is up with my problem trying to get it from tv.
Thanks if anyone has any help MBANX
