DVD 2 ONE - AWSOME stop moaning!

DVD 2 ONE is great and definately not dodgy software, it comes
from the creator of remote selector a well known multi region app to make all region films play using windows pc's that has been around for a while.

I cant beleive how stingy some people are being, (seeing as you need a DVD writer anyway wich are still around 200 UK pounds, yes you can rip the same type of video by using a combination of
programs but just one of these decent apps cost many many times more than dvd 2 one, eg CCE Encoder is $1900 US dollars,
DVD maestro or any other half decent authoring programs are also far expensive than dvd 2 one.

With dvd 2 one you pay less than 40 UK pounds, for a program
that will re-size (very good quality) even compared to expensive CCE Encoding!, a dvd movie and also includie subtitles at amazingly fast speeds ( compared with all other software encoders Tmpgenc, rempeg,CCE et)

Its worth it for the ease of use and time factor alone, 1 film using
about 5 different programs and CCE encoder all together including authoring (parsing the files) , demux, and encode etc was approx 8 hours on my PC to convert into valid dvd r content.

DVD 2 ONE converted the same movie, with about
7 clicks of the mouse in about 35 minutes!!!

Reffering to another post:-
This software in itself is not illegal thats like saying all the CD copy programs are illegal eg. Nero, Clonecd, Blindread, Prassi, Gear DVD, CDrWin.

For instance a large Video/graphics software/hardware company called pinnacle are also about to launch a DVD copy software that will also copy any DVD movie onto a DVD R, they even boast about this feature in the description of the program.

A large company like this considers the law very carefully before producing such adverts and they must be pretty certain that releasing the software will pay off, if they though it would be taken off the shelves straight away why bother investing there money in developing it.

For my money you cant beat DVD 2 ONE!

Let give the coder our support buy it, and help him make it the best, maybe new features like keeping the menu, even higher quality etc could all be possible if its pays, who is going to continue to develop a program that everyone is getting for free, we arent talking about a huge software company here just
one lone programmer Erwin van den Berg.

Well done and keep up the good work Erwin.

Backed up a lot of DVD's using DVD Decryptor & RemPEG2 & IfoEdit & burning whit Nero or NowMax on two fast systems, PIV 2 & 2,67 Ghz, the job took between 7 and 12 hours all in.
This baby does it including ripping & scrambling & burning in less than ONE hour.
No diverence in quality between them.
Nice going, worth the money.

It picks the sub and audio easly, fast and clean and no more CCE or Rempeg or any cramp again. Hope it will work fine for most of my DVD collections. 2 thumbs up to DVD2one!

It certainly does work.

BUT, I'm still waiting for it to include the menu's and the extra's.

As soon as it does those as well, I'll register it immediately.

In fact, the first software on the market that does a FULL copy to dvd-r will be a winner and I will buy it, I don't care if it will be dvd2dvdr, dvdxcopy, Clonedvd or something else.

I want my extra's !!! That is the only reason I use dvd instead of vhs.

Oh, and I don't mind if it's a bit slower or even a lot slower, as long as I get the menu's and extras...

I've purchased the program and
FACTS:
- The author says that CSS cracking is illegal and he does not wants any problems so you have to use a program such as DVDDEcrypter or Smartripper to put the DVD on your HD unprotected...
- The program is indeed really smal....
- The burning engine is not inluded in the program and the author is correct when he says that NERO has problems with compatibility... change to STOMP INC RECORD NOW MAX and.. voilá... 100% success

BTW: when I've purchased the program I've sent several emails requesting certain tips on how to use STOMP INC RECORD NOW MAX and the replys were blasting fast...

SO.... I've made several (more than 10) backups of original DVD's and all are ok..

note 20/20 to this little thing called... DVD2ONE

Hi,

I did Planet of the Apes with DD 5.1 and English subtitles. On my Toshiba SD5109 the subtitles automatically start coming on at beginning of chapter 3 - right after the power failure on the space station happens. I check the subtitles and says they are off, when in fact they are on... so I turn them on, then off and they remain off but this keeps happening through this disc. The original DVD does not have this problem - just the backup I made with dvd2one. I tried on my Xbox and the backup seems to be fine.

I just don't use subtitles anymore to be safe... I could care less about them. I am curious as to why it seems that everyone seems to need subtitles or it is the end of the world? I personally have never used subtitles.

the problem with PLANET OF THE APES is the protection scheme
the movie goes two steps forward and one step backward

I solved this using DVD Decrypter and the option BRUTE FORCE to ripp to HDD

as for the tips, as I'm a "rookie", they where all related how to work with Record Now Max...
Creating a data disc
creating a dir. called VIDEO_TS
putting all the files created by DVD2ONE there and... burn

did test with nero and record now max

nero failed 75% of the movies
record now max gave me 100% good results

DVD playback on set top skipping

Hello,

My setup:
DRU500a with 1.f firmware
Samsung 12x DVD-ROM
RecordNow Max 4.5 demo version
DVD20ne trial version
DVDDecryptor 3.4.1
Sony DVP-NS400D set top

What I've tried ,using Memorex DVD-R (version 2.0) @2.x, and Maxell DVD-RW (version 1.1) @1.x media:

1.)Ripped ALL files in file mode from a 7 GB DVD using DVDDecryptor but not into
the default destination directory it picked. I used a different VIDEO_TS directory (all caps)

2.) Ran DVD2one trial and got my 30 minutes of DVD vid in about 5 minutes. It was also put into a different VIDEO_TS destination directory

3.) Burned DVD using RNM 4.5 with these settings:

Track at once closed, UDF Joliet 106 characters(blahblah), Had to change
the VIDEO_TS destination directory to all caps by right clicking on it and choosing
the option to modify it (forget exact wording). This directory is in RED as expected.
(Maybe this is the issue ??? This same folder shows up in caps in Windows
Explorer, but not by default in RNM)

4.) DVD burns and plays beautifully on the DRU500a (using both media types)
but my DVP-NS400D set top plays about 1 second of each chapter then skips to the
next chapter, then to the next etc etc....until the end

By the way, in DVD2one I selected the standard English audio and subtitles.

I have successfully ripped/burned a 4.3GB DVD with DVDDecryptor in ISO mode
on the Memorex DVD-R media and it plays in this same set top.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong or what to try ??

What are the correct setting for RNM 4.5 ?

Thanks alot !

Hello, this is my first post. I have been reading these forums for a week or so to learn about dvd burning and there are quite knowledgable people here to help the beginners. I need a step by step guide.
So i will ask!

I have burned six DVD's successfully using the "DVD2 DVDR for beginners" guide. I would like to use the new program DVD2One to do this. I have D/L the trial version. I have tried to burn a copy of KPAX and used DVDDecrypter then DVD2One, then when i tried to burn the disc with Nero i get an error saying:unexpected format and cannot burn it. Also tried Gear Pro DVD to burn but it only burned 1 track. Any help would be great.
Thanks
PS i know the trial wil only do 30 mins of video.

Tried the trial on a couple of movies and it worked quickly and well. D/l the full registered version today and only actually burned 1 DVD so far. This is a really nice program, small 94K and pretty easy.

Using DVD Decrypter in file mode I've burned Journey 2001 Music Video and I'm in the process of burning Last of the Mohicans DTS. Each movie was compressed to 4.4GB according to my burning software. The Journey DVD burned perfectly and plays great, I really can't see any visual difference between my copy and original. I've seen a review somewhere that said the DVD2one copy may not be as bright as the original. Damned if I can tell.LOL

Before I burn I test each movie in file mode on Power DVD XP and they all have worked so far, the only thing I'm testing now is the burn I'm doing on Last of the Mohicans DTS. Since I chose to keep the DTS audio, Power DVD doesn't recognize DTS. So, I'm burning to a DVDRW just in case the audio doesn't work I can just erase it. I'm figuring it will work fine on my standalone player...I'll know in a few minutes.

I've tried all the DVD copiers, including DVDX Copy, which I do like but DVD2one is awesome in that I only need 1 DVD to back up DVD9's instead of 2. Hell, I've got the originals for all the extra stuff, so the ability to have just the movie without all the extra crap on 1 DVD is great. I also like being able to use your fav burning package, never any coasters. I use ULEAD Movie Factory 2 for all my DVD burning...it uses UDF and is compatible with all my standalones and my PC.

This is a no frills product that delivers and seems like it will only get better and the price is right. I'm pleased!!!

P.S. As good a package as Nero is, some burns just don't work on some standalones.

Thanks,
MT

just purchased dvd2 one tonight.....ripped and burnt gladiator..have to say....was impressed with the results....2.5 hours on one dvd! incredible! i did see some flaws in the picture though...pixelation and sound/video out of sync at times...i wonder if these are ntsc issues...otherwise very impressed...i kept waiting for the disc to end......unbeleivable quality for the amount of film on one disc...int.

If the trial version allow 30 min processing then I should be able to get a whole movie in the trial mode. Most of the users here said it took 15 to 20 minutes to encode a 2 hr movie, however in my case only about 15 minutes or so is processed.

Trial Mode

jah_rankin

The trial permits 30 minutes transcoding of the "original" movie.
