DVD2One Discuss, DVD2ONE and NERO.... fixed hopefully at Copy Movie forum; Nero v5.5.10.7 now has compatability for UDF 1.02, 1.5, and newer 2.01, so hopefully the problems with standalone players will be fixed.... They also added dvd-video compatability to the new version also, anyone trying the new nero please post your burning results here

At least this new version, when using DVD Video, now works with both my standalones again. The earlier 5.5.10.0 did not work.

When using UDF, which is the best mode to use, 1.02, 1.05, or 2.01 ? When I use 1.02 it only works on my Apex AD-1500, not my Panasonic RP-56.

Can someone please explain the difference between using UDF, UDF/ISO and DVD-Video mode please. I have always been advised to use UDF/ISO with Nero - are there playback quality or compatibility issues between the three modes? Should I move to using DVD-Video?

FYI: Nero and DVD Burning

On Doom9's forum, many there were many discussions regarding using Nero for burning. To be safe and keep the file structure, you should creage an image with WinISO or some other program and then burn the image. I've tried this and I haven't experienced any problems on many different DVD players.

My XBox is very picky regarding playback of DVD+R's/-R's.
Since Nero 5.5.10.0 I can burn perfect copies with Nero.
Just use the DVD-UDF and check the XBox checkbox under the UDF tab.

Nero 7b works for me

I had the same problem with previous versions of Nero. Backups would only play on my Mustek player nut not my LG. Once I began using the latest NERO (7b) my backups play perfectly on both machines and also on my brothers Samsung and Pacific machines

The most compatible format across al players is UDF/ISO. Try that one. If this fails you need to try another burning program like Instant VOB

The best way to take out all the guesswork from Nero is to use ImgTool 0.99.9 - DVD burning program (requires Nero 5.5.8 or later installed). It works everytime.

nyplayer:

Dvd Decrypter, dvd2one, and ImgTool 0.99 go perfect together. First time that a copy worked on an older Emerson DVD player as well as multiple Sony, Samsung, Apex, and Panasonic standalone players. I know that Imgtool only calls the API from an existing registered copy of Nero so there isn't any magic but it does add the magic touch in the compatibility arena as well as providing consistency. Thanks for the tip.

this way will only work if the user has NTFS format for storage.

4.3gig is too big for FAT32.

i have a 20gig partition formatted in NTFS for this reason.

fatty.
