DVD2one (DTS 6channel English)

I have a question and I hope it is not a dumb one, anyway I was wondering if you have to have DTS 6channel English checked when you are compressing the DVD or if you can leave it unchecked so there is more room for the Video part in the compression? I did burn my first DVD and it turned OK, it was sort of like watching a DIVX just a bit blockie. See picture for DTS question.

Personally, I just check the AC3-6Channel English on all my movie-only processing [none of the others]. That leaves maximum room for compressed video.
In case there are Translation/Forced-Subs, I also check any EnglishSubs (not identified as ClosedCaption) in case they need to be 'in the mix' for those translations--but this doesn't always 'work' for those. ForcedSubs are a separate topic affecting some few D2O-copies, and hopefully will be addressed in some future update to D2O--but in meantime, subs (unlike AudioTracks) are very small, so I just include as described above.

I agree. Selecting all those audio streams is really a waste of precious space. DTS streams can be rathar large, so I usually go for the AC3 6ch. I do, however sacrifice audio quality and select AC3 2ch for movies that are quite large for the sake of queezing out just a bit more space for video data.

I can't go back to 2-channel--I just LOVE my 6-channel Sanyo-setup for movies...
heck, I never to to the theater anymore--better quality at home and seldom any long-lines!

You said it bud...the theater experience is an absolute joke in my area (unless I take a 2 1/2 ride to Hollywood). It's always the same thing: over-crowded, over-priced, far too noisy and seats that wreak havok on yer behind. Not to mention a terrible washed out picture (that's almost always out of focus). Nothing beats a decent home theater setup.
