DVD2One Discuss, DVD2one doesn't mux properly at Copy Movie forum; Hi, I'm not sure if this is a bug but when I re-encoded a DVD movie called Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) it seemed as though the movie sometimes skips and freezes for about 1 second then continues to play normally. I was thinking if it would be possible

DVD2one doesn't mux properly

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is a bug but when I re-encoded a DVD movie called Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) it seemed as though the movie sometimes skips and freezes for about 1 second then continues to play normally. I was thinking if it would be possible to have an option not only to mux but also to demux the re-encoded audio and video streams. Thank you.

In the film these jumps are because of exceeding the max bitrate as far as I know!

if you're right, this sounds like a big issue... why should the prog have bitrate limitations?

video + all audio must be below 9.8 MBit/s on a video-dvd. If DVD2One violates this spec, it would be a serious bug.

But crap media is a more like cause...

Okay I thought that it had something to do with DVD2one not muxing or not transcoding properly but I think I have solved the problem. When I had installed PowerDVD XP V4.0 with the latest patch (build 2417) that's when some of the DVD movies started to hang. What I did was uninstall PowerDVD then re-install PowerDVD but instead of installing also the latest patch I installed a previous patch (build 1811) and so far the DVD movies that I've transcoded using DVD2one work fine! So if anyone is having problems with the latest patch of PowerDVD then I'd advise you to remove it and re-install the previous patch that you were using.
