Did you check the settings in RecordNOW for overburn? It's under Tools- options- blank size. I set mine to overburn at what I think is the default 5000 1:06 9.77mb. Also the meter at the bottom of the page.....did the data go over the little red tick mark? If not it should have burned successfully.

I've burned LOTR with DVDX Copy but I'll try it with DVD2one and see what happens......I'll use a RW of course. LOL

Later.

well i am trying again and this time with that overburn and i checked the meter its not over it....but like i said if you have a file of 4.7 it doesnt fit on a disk of4.7 so i think the file must be at least around 4.3 or 4.4(think so...

I've ripped & burned with no problems. My file size after DVD2One was 4.36 GB (4,687,095,808 bytes) burned it with Prassi no problems

VOODOO, just finished burning LOTR and it works fine. Question, what are you burning to? I'm using +R are you using +R or -R media? I'm not familiar with -R, I'm guessing it's capacity is the same as +R....4.7gb.

Anyway, are you having probs with any other movies burned with DVD2one or is it just LOTR? BTW, I uninstalled Instant CD, it gave me probs with DVDX Copy. I don't know I'm just taking a stab here, maybe too many burning progs using the same resources and causing conflict...Instant CD, Prassi and RecordNow???

Oddly enough, I was having trouble with my other authoring software like NEO-DVD, when I installed RecordNow it fixed it. I believe they both use the same PX engine for burning.

Sorry to ramble but this copying business seems to be very finicky, burners, media, burning progs and of course, each movie we try to burn. I'm staying with the same pattern that works for me each time. DVD Decryptor, DVD2one and RecordNow Max with overburn . I'm also making sure that it's writing the disk with UDF/ISO selected in options. I just keep the movie, 1 or 2 audio channels and no subs??? Who knows, as long as it works. LOL

Hopefully the overburn will work for you. Good luck!

Mike

P.S. RecordNow reports filesize as 4.4gb. Alos, what version of LOTR, NTSC or PAL? Mine is NTSC! I haven't used Smartripper but in DVD Decryptor, I only use FILE method.

VOODOO, I think I read on another forum that LOTR PAL version was problematic in copying. The only other suggestion I can make is to use CHOPPER, there is a link for it on this forum. Chopper will allow you to edit a VOB file. You can edit the last VOB, taking out the credits. This may give you a filesize that will burn and work. Good luck.
