Dvd 4.38

I have used decrypter to rip dog soldiers to my hard drive the ran it through dvd2one but the output file is 4.38 gig.

I only selected the main movie and the main sound (only one avaliable) no subtitles, main angle only, but as I say it has came out to 4.38 gig.

Is there anyway to overburn the disc to accomadate the size?

Cheers

no need for overburn

i use instant dvd to make backup and had the same problem but if you look at the size of the files in bytes its just under that of a blank dvd think the blank one was 4,707,574,000 and dog soldiers is 4,705,768,978 and instant dvd ask to put bigger disc in had 3 options retry, canel, ignore just chose ignore and it burnt it ok

open the title set's IFO file in IFOedit and run the "check dvd size" function from the top drop-downs.
it will tell you if it's under/over.

I was using nero to copy it and it just ejected the disc due to it being 4.38, i think it has to be 4.37 to be ok.

Anyway I put the 4.38 gig back through DVD2One and it reduced to 4.36 gig so I am off and running again.

Cheers for all the replies.

This is really very interesting. I would not have thought of putting the files back through DVD2one again. I would like to know if this works for all oversized first tries. If so, it will be an easy fix for so many that have had this problem.
