DVD2One Discuss, Best viewer for determining cell/chap... at Copy Movie forum; What are folks using for making choices re: cell/chap inclusion? One would think that end-title deletion would be helpful with many releases... I'm unsure, as yet, the advantages of cell-specific options...anyone working on a how-to for 1.4.0?

You can use IFOEdit to open the IFO file relating to the movie you want to examine. Typically, this will be VTS_01_0.IFO. Double-clicking on the cell number in the lower pane will produce a preview window allowing you to examine that cell's content.

It would have been nice to have had this feature in-built, but there we are. Perhaps in DV2One v2....?

I heard that dvd95copy can also 'see' by chap/cell, but haven't played with it myself...
What really _should_ be included with every release/new-feature in ANY proggie is an attempt by the author(s) to clue in their users as to the intent/details/utility of said refinements. Dunno why this development team is so close-mouthed as to successful use of their product, and/or the intents & purposes of their efforts.
Kinda 'shooting themselves in the foot', eh? You'd think they'd want to brag-it-up!

Viewing Cell/Chapter Previews

I used IFOEDIT to open the cell/chapters as you suggested. The Preview window opened with a black screen with a title at the top of "Static." The cell would not play and remains a black screen no matter how long I leave it up.

I have a Intel P4 @ 2.66 GHZ with a Geforce FX 5200 128 mb video card updated to the newest NVidia driver.

I use a 120GB Maxtor with about 100 GB free and defragged.

I also use Power DVD5 as my player.

p.s. - Forgot to mention that I tried several cells/chapters and none previewed.

Did you try dragging the slider to the right?

(Do not have PowerDVD or its equivalent open at the same time in case there's a conflict over display resources).

Pete,

Power DVD was closed and trying to move the slider to the right seemed to freeze with an hourglass for about 30 to 40 seconds. The hourglass disappeared, and the preview still does not start.

I've tried everything I can think of...I'm at a loss!

Pete & Others,

I rebooted and reloaded the .ifo to IfoEdit, and the problem seems to be solved. I can preview the cells. Thanks to all who responded, especially Pete, sho has not failed me yet. Usually I don't even have to post my problem, because someone else has posted the same problem and Pete has solved it already. As far as I'm concerned, he's "The Man"!
