The new version we are working on at this moment has user definable output size.
Unfortunally you will still need IFOedit to put it back into one DVD.

If you want to do it all with DVD2one you will have to wait until we are ready to release the version with 1:1 copy support.
(it's the number one on the todo list, so you can expect that feature soon, but i can't give you a timeframe)

1:1 support

I understand that you cant give a timeframe, so dont worry bout that, I am in college as a programmer so trust me i understand that debugging can be just as much of a pain as writing the code. i was more wondering if you could please offer a page on your main site that has directions on how to change the ifo file in ifoedit to allow for multiple PGC's to be combined to one PGC and "trick" DVD2one to do its thing on all episodes on the disk...I mean its the easiest and quickest way of doing it i just need to know how to do it. cause although i have DVD maestro it would take for freakin ever to demux then remux it with maestro as compared to simply editing the IFO...

Episodes on 1 dvd with dvd2one

Hai,

1, Rip with your decrypter program in file mode.
2. Run IfoEdit latest version.
3. Select Create Ifo.
4. Select 1 Vob in your Ripped folder
5. Leave the settings as the are
6. after this you must change the color of the subs.
7. After that start IfoEdit again and get VTS Sectors.
8. Change in Ifo Edit the langues settings and subs settings to there original settings.
8 Run Dvd2one programm.
9. Check if dvd2one hasn't changed the video specs of your dvd, if so click on the specs and chance this in Ifo Edit.

Voila you have a episode dvd , works like charm with band of brothers.

Slozo

I'm sure everyone (especially me!) would love a more detailed explanation on how to do that with ifoedit ... in fact, that's exactly what I'm looking for,

Thanks in advance!

Could you put it on your site for us to see? That'd be the best option. What's the URL?

Hi,

I'm checking the guide but I don't really understand, how to make sure that all episodes are taken ?

I have opened the files from Buffy and I remembered seeing 4 videos of each 40 minutes, haven't tried this guide yet but according to what I'm seeing, it only takes one single episode (of band of brothers)

Has anyone succeded to make a back up of a Buffy dvd that includes just the 4 episodes included on the original disk ?

I have had some issues with the method posted. I think its missing steps for a multi episode/Movie DVD. There is a thread here http://www.cdrom-guide.com/forums/sh...91#post1311491 which discusses what I did and how I made it work. It makes refference to a guide I created for doing subtitles. If you look at his guide though it is good enough for that piece of it. I will hopefully post up pictures and a good walkthrough tommorow at www.dvd2dvdr.com

Re

@ All

The guide i wrote is based on the Band of brothers discs.

This guide will make a multi PGC episode disc into 1 with dvd2one

But only if there not more than 1 VTS.

Meaning the structure most be:VTS_01 with the episode in it

Like VTS_01
PGC_1
PGC_2
PGC-3

Where the PGC are the episodes.

Regards,

Slozo

Ps. if you would like the chapters stops starting on every chapter look in the guide on the phase 3 step and select on the right side Create Chapters 1 Cell of Each PGC

I just added a section at www.dvd2dvdr.com on how to do this as well. I haven't tried band of brothers yet.

NOT IN SYNC ON AN EPISODE

I recently did Sandford and Son, like on one of the last episodes it goes out of sync. I used the method talked about on this forum. DVD2one completed it, but the only problem i had was one was out of seek, can anybody think of what might be wrong?

And here I thought I had actually figured something out.. here is how I did it. I actually posted a long post on dvd2dvdr forums but this is the readers digest version.

1. rip main movie with dvd decrypter from all disks you want to combine (3 from same anime series for me). Use file mode merge vobs to save time and effort. 1 vob for each movie is created.
2. rename disc 2 and 3 as if they were 2nd and 3rd file of vobset.
3. create ifo with ifoedit and make sure everything works.
4. Run dvd2one on this newly created big arse set.
5. do all the subtitle color copy stuff described above in ifoedit.

I ran into a couple of issues though. Still working on resolving some of them. the new dvd is 48 chapters and between chapter 15 and 40 or so the fast forward and rewind go all the way to chapters 15 or 40 almost immediately. Very weird. Also for some reason I had to do another create ifo runthrough becayse the dvd2one output did not play correctly.. although the vobs seemed to be fine.

I will experiment more until the version that makes all this useless comes out.
