1:1 Copy, incl. Menus HowTo Guide BETA

Hi,
it is possible to make a 1:1 Copy with menues.

I have try it with Star Trek the Next Generation Seasons DVD.
My Problem was, that on this DVD are 4 Movies!

Thats are the files on this DVD. How you can can find out, what is what, after you Ripped, use IFOEDIT ;-)

Movie 1: VTS_02_1.VOB, VTS_02_2.VOB
Movie 2: VTS_03_1.VOB, VTS_03_2.VOB
Movie 3: VTS_04_1.VOB, VTS_04_2.VOB
Movie 4: VTS_05_1.VOB, VTS_05_2.VOB

Menu 1: VTS_02_0.VOB
Menu 2: VTS_03_0.VOB
Menu 3: VTS_04_0.VOB
Menu 4: VTS_05_0.VOB

Paramount Intrologo: VTS_01_xx.VOB

First you know that are the content of the DVD start IFOEdit, and extract Movie for Movie. Try to open VIDEO_TS.IFO and click on "VOB EXTRAS" there you MUST change the Splisize to "None". And know select one VOB_ID to extract it... and so on...

After you have do this for each movie, start VobEdit and Join the Big VOBs. Open the first bit VOB File, click in Menu of "Join clips" and then select save location, and in the next Dialog start with VOBID "1".

When this is done for alle the BIG Files, close VobEdit and start IfoEdit und create new IFOs for the new Files. Click at the bottom of window the button "Create IFO" and open the first VOB File. Then select the first Radiobutton in both Optiongroups... And let it do the work...

After this start DVD2One and let it convert.

Some Special Note:
I have use DVD2One with all Audio Tracks, because i have later removed it, to have enoght space on DVD for the original Menue VOBs. Because, it is a shit work to modify all Original IFOs at the end...

When DVD2One is ready with transcode start once again IfoEdit and Extract every VOB ID in a new Folder and File. Know that VOB ID 1 is VTS_01_xx.VOB and ID2 ist VTS_02_xx.VOB you must rename it after you have extract one VOB. It is easier when you make for each extracted VOB a new DIR. Check in Extract Dialog it create IFO is selected because you need, the new entry points for the original IFOs...

Hint: Deselect some languages that is not need, to get more Space for the Menüs, click Stream IDs, in the first Dialog. I hope it was the name of it...

So now create a Building dir for the new DVD.
Copy VIDEO_TS.* from the original in this Dir.
Know all original *.IFO und *.BUP as Original in this new Dir.
And all lilttle Menu VOBs VTS_0x_0.VOB in this dir...

After This copy the new extracted small .VOBs from our last IfoEdit Session in this Dir - Think about rename the files right!

Test it with some DVD Player Software...

You will see it work a little bit... Chaptermarker are wrong.

Now open IfoEdit in the new bulding dir. First open the first Movie file it is by TNG VTS_02_00.IFO. And start an other IfoEdit with the last IFO that is create with IfoEdit from the last Session for the First VOBId. It will have the Information about the new Cell LBAs.

Look in the Upper Tree list for "VTS_PGCITI", and then select the Tree after this "VTS_PGC_1".

Then scroll in the botom list to "Cell Playback"

Now change for every cell "Entry point sector", "start secotr of last VOBU" and "last sector of this cell"

The new Values find you in the same section in the other IfoEdit Window...

Make this for every movie...

When you don't understand what i mean, i will soon make a picture based help.

Ad the end click "Get VTS Secotrs" and burn it.

When somebody don't understand me, this is a quick and dirty HowTo. Please make Hints wehre i must be chance or add something more Information to understand it. It will be nice, when somebody can help me with my english description, it know it is not the best...
