Wealth Fair Investment Ltd. 8x DVD+R burned at 4x

LG GSA-4163B A104 , 4482 MB
JVC-branded 8x-rated DVD+R media, made in China.
MID: WFKA11 211

I've stumbled upon these in a Fry's Electronics store. They were sold as JVC-branded 8x-rated DVD+R media, made in China. Media code WFKA11 211. Burned two test DVDs, got one okay disc at 4x in LG GSA-4163B (this post) and one coaster at 8x in a BenQ DW1620 (next post). I have returned the remaining 28 discs to the store for a refund. Approach this media with caution.

Wealth Fair Investment Ltd. 8x DVD+R burned at 8x

LiteOn SOHW-1653S CS0T , 3208 MB
Transonic DVD+R 8x
MID: WFKA11 211

Hi, mate, your looks much better than mine.

Recently I bought two spindle (10ps each) "Transonic DVD+R 8x", the manufacturer is the same as yours, Wealth Fair Investment Ltd., the test result is terrible. Have tried used DVD-speed and Krobe v2.5.1, both results are similar. Interestingly, most of the discs are still ok, i.e. can play back in a DVD drive or in a standalone DVD play reasonable smooth. Though there is not much trouble to play or read back, sometimes it does have to slow down a little bit, I won't buy this brand at the moment until it get a new stock (might be from different manuf and performance better).
