i spent about $60 at shop4tech.com almost a year ago and now since it seems that no one can get anything decent out of these discs i will just keep trying different strategies and posting results

every time i try a new stat, i burn several discs to let the drive try to 'learn'
as of yet, ive only seen the burns get worse after the initial one :-/

every one of these is nero 6.3.1.25 burning a video dvd of Hidalgo @2x
i have not made one successful copy that would play in a PS2 without read errors

NEC 1-4x DVD-R sold in individual jewel cases. Standard Nero data disc burned at 4x with an LG GSA-4166B.
