WriteDVD 10 11 W2 error (PayCheck)

Hi all,

I am new to this, so far I have enjoyed using this softwares as a test for my original dvd movies, but with my current original backup paycheck dvd I got some error. I have only the 2 softs running while doing these steps (anydvd & clonedvd2), everything to my knowledge is remmed out. As I have looked at different threads, I noticed I'm using lower qualities of dvd blanks, and was wondering if this was the case. I have backup my other original with the same dvd blanks with no problems, so I am wondering if it's really the dvdblanks I'm using or not. I have backed up so far using the above trials, 36x of my original Dvd movies with the same Dvd blanks. The only thing I havent yet tested was setting it to a lower speed setting versus maximum.

Elby CloneDvD2 : V 2.8.5.1 trial version (2 days left)
Anydvd: V5.6.3.1 trial version (2 days left)

Summary for drive E: (AnyDVD 5.6.3.1)

Below is the error I got from CloneDvd2 2.8.5.1

This is after the dvd gets transcoded, and intializes into the burning process, below the error window it displays. Some oddities that I have done, was unchecked the "force french captions", unchecked "english subtitles, unchecked all previews, unchecked dbl director's commentaries(2x)".

@ Generic00,

Welcome to the Forum.

Perchance did you actually read the information you just posted because if you had you would know the reason for you failure to successfully make a back up copy of the Commercial DVD Movie Title Paycheck?

You state you aware that you are using low quality blank DVD Media. If you are aware that you are using low quality DVD media why do you continue to use it?

Suggest getting rid of your low quality CMC Magnetics Corp. M01 DVD-R and obtain known high quality DVD media.

Locally obtain FujiFilm DVD media and ensure that the package clearly states Made In Japan. Avoid purchasing FujiFilm Media made in any other country other Made In Japan because the quality of the media is unknown.

Best Regards,
bjkg

ty bjkg

As I am new to the forums, Just wanted to reconfirm if it was the blanks or some other known errors with the actual Dvdclone2.

Thank you for the informations with Fujifilm dvd media. Ill get some if they have it here, locally. (leaving to the store as I post this)

Anyhow just became a proud owner of the softwares from Slysoft.

Is there anyway to scan for my unknown dvd writer , for upgrading firmware? (tool like dvdinfopro, currently the software download page is down)

You can download DVDInfopro form here
http://www.speedlabs.org/downloads/T...osplmirror.htm

Select
DVDInfoPro Advert (free)[3.9Mb] - Advert supported version
This version expires on the 02/01/2006.(unstable release)
This is a beta version, only free one available but should funtion properly.

You can also download Nero CDSpeed v4.10 which will give you the manufacturers ID # and other tools. This one does not expire.

Re: WriteDVD 10 11 W2 error (PayCheck)

@ Generic00,

There are a couple of software utility programs that will reveal the information you are attempting to obtain concerning your DVD burner.

Nero Info Tool (http://www.cdspeed2000.com/files/NeroInfoTool_301.zip)

DVD Identifier (http://dvd.identifier.cdfreaks.com)

When you acquire information concerning your DVD Burner suggest visiting the particular CD Freaks DVD Burner Forum for your DVD Burner (http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=61) to obtain specific information. There you find firmware that will increase to your Burner’s performance.

In many circles Taiyo Yuden DVD Media is considered quality top of the line media. Rima.Com (http://www.rima.com) is considered a reliable source of Taiyo Yuden media.

Congratulations on purchasing the AnyDVD- CloneDVD software programs. These are excellent software programs that are routinely updated and improved to handle the latest in Commercial DVD Movie title copy protection schemes.

If you ensure that you are using known quality DVD media, latest DVD Burner Firmware, and the latest versions of AnyDVD-CloneDVD you will not have any problems making backup copies of your Commercial DVD Movie Title collection.

Best Regards,
bjkg
