I have the last versions of clonedvd and anydvd. I have backed up several dvd's without a hitch. Today I tried to do two others and everything was fine until it started writing. On two tries it would get to about 4-10% and would stop writing. I let it go for over 10 min with no error message and the animation was still moving but the cancle button went gray and I could not stop it other than ctrl,alt del. I then tried to save the dvd files. Again this part worked fine. When I tried to write again it stopped at about 10%. Burner is working fine as I tried with other software on another pc. Burner is a sony dru-530a firmware 1.0b. Thanks for any help as I really like this program.

I thought I would post the fix as to maybe help someone else. after a few days of tring anything I could think of I had uninstalled both clone and anydvd and reinstalled to no avail. I uninstalled both and installed dvdshrink with nero 6. I had the same results but this time I get and error code rather then just a hung computer. It was a tracking fault. I ran another sim burn at 2x rather then 4x and it worked but my CPU usage ran between 90 and 100%. checking deeper I found that DMA was turned off for that drive. This is strange as it was enabled before and I had done nothing different. When I tried to set it back to DMA it would not stick. I had to reinstall the standard IDE driver. After this I backed up another DVD with no problems. It was just like before,fast and CPU usage was back to 5-8%. Thanks for all the views........
