Star Wars 1 & 2

I am having trouble backing up my copies of Star Wars 1 & 2 (Fullscreen).

I am using AnyDVD, and Clone DVD to make the copy on the hard drive. I then use NERO Recode to burn to a DL disk.

I am getting a good copy, however, I am getting the commentary stream on the movie. For some reason, I can't turn off the commentary stream...

I have copied all my other Star Wars movies in Widescreen format with no issues.

I am using a Matshita UJ-840D (rev 1.02) DL burner.

Also, I cann't get Clone DVD to burn at DL format. It always says I don't have enough disk space.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

You can try removing the commentary stream off your backup, and only leaving the main ac3/6 audio stream.

Also if your wanting to burn it Dual Layer, make sure you change the DVD-5 to DVD-9 on the drop down box. I dont remember exactly what it says on there.. but it something like DVD+DL??

EDIT: I was able to backup starwars 1,2,3 with no complications using AnyDVD and CloneDVD.

Re: Star Wars 1 & 2

I have changed the setup in Clone DVD to DL format. For some reason, it still won't recognize the additional free space.

Did you burn widescreen for 1-3? My SW3 (widescreen) works fine. I have having problems with 1-2. I have tried to remove the streams, but am still having problems.

Thanks for the info.

I dont know why its not working for you. WHen i insert a DVD and load up CloneDVD.. normally i keep it on DVD5.. as soon as I change it to DVD+DL my compression or quality bar jumps up to 100%, instantly. I then go through all the screens and pick and chooose exactly what it is that I want to keep (but if using a DL disk, I would normally keep everything since it can all fit).

I did burn wide screen for all the episodes. While I did not use a DL disk.. I only included AC3/6 for my audio, and I removed all the others (even subtitles). It was basically a movie only copy, with menus. If the Commentary audio track is not included... it will be impossible for it to play that specific audio
