CloneDVD Discuss, Recogntion of burners in vers. 2.0.8.4 at Copy Movie forum; Just a minor problem... In my previous versions of Clonedvd only my dvd-writer was shown as a drive to write. Now CloneDVD also detects my cd-writer (Yamaha FX1), which definitely is of no use when it comes to writing dvds.

Good find!
This is intentional. CloneDVD 2.1 will allow writing to CD-R/CD-RW as well.
It allows you the creation of Mini-DVDs. Very handy to save away just a trailer or an interview on CD-R, but keeping the whole space of the DVD-R disc for the main feature.

Thanx Olli, maybe I'll use this feature here and then... I knew of the mini-dvds, but it didn't know CloneDVD could write them
BTW you said version 2.1 can do it, does that mean 2.0.8.4 can't write the mini-dvd, yet?

Correct. Although 2.0.8.4 shows you the CD-Writer, it won't allow writing on CD-R. 2.1.x.x will do it.
