When trying to backup "Best of Cheaters" Disk 1, I keep running into this same exact error "PS 10 VOBU 4 370156 116 Clone 6 TCE" at the same exact spot half way through chapter 1. Disk 2, 3, and 4 backup with no problems. I'm using an NEC 5500A w/ firmware 1.51. Windows XP SP2, Anydvd 5.6.1.1, CloneDVD 2.8.5.1. Same error with an NEC 3520A. Ive already tried copying and pasting the files to the drive. I'm able to successfully create full sized 6.5gb ISO's but the moment I try CloneDVD to create a dvd-5 image I get the same error no matter what combination I try. I was able to successfully rip to my drive use DVDDecryptor but when I try using Clonedvd to shrink down the image, i get the same error. Please help.

Welcome to the Forum.

Suggest sending .IFO files to both SlySoft and Elaborate Bytes. When they receive the .IFO files they will be able to analyze the files and take appropriate action and see if possibly this particular Commercial DVD Title has a variant of an existing copy protection scheme.

In addition to what bjkg has suggested, and I *HIGHLY* recommend you follow his advice, you could try using Vob Blanker to copy the files off the DVD to your hard drive and THEN use CloneDVD on that. Just load the video_ts.ifo from the VIDEO_TS folder on the DVD into the input box of Vob Blanker and select an output folder and hit process. My guess is that this might help you. But please send the IFOs to slysoft and elaborate bytes so that they can get a fix out if there is an issue. Thanks!
