Please check your CPU temperature, maybe your machine is overheating?

I think you may check your PSU and RAM first..

Are you sure it's shutting down? Maybe it's going to sleep?

No, cause when I go to power it back on, as if it was asleep, everything has been reset and its not there anymore. The program was working fine the first week. No problems at all. But it just started the other day. I did however notice that it only does it when I leave my computer. As long as Im on the computer doing something, it will work ok. But if I were to let it sit for about 10 mins and not do anything on it, it shuts down. Maybe it is over heating though.

I had a similar problem recently, check your exaust fan is
working, if not that would cause your PC to overheat and shutdown

If it's ok when you're using it it sounds like possibly the power options in control panel

Try setting them to OFF i.e. No sleep no standby etc etc

Just a thought

Hi, probably it is not your case, but just to be sure... update your antivirus to the latest version and scan your hard drive...

Re: Problems while copying...

Good rule of thumb when burning, disable all your startup programs, in the Start\Run box type in "msconfig", then select startup tab and disable all, then reboot.
Don't forget to manually start AnyDVD.

Make sure your power saver feature is not activated, hibernation is disabled (also in the Power Options folder under hibernate tab), and disable any useless screensavers, they serve no purpose at all..

If problem continues It would lead me to believe it's a ram problem, or perhaps like Olli and others said a overheating problem. Try opening up your case and take a portable fan and place it near the case, try a burn and see if it works. If it does, close the case and let it run awhile and build up heat again. Then try another burn and see if it shuts down again, if it does, you have isolated your problem as excessive heat and will need to install additional fans. Use a Rewriteable CD for the burn, if something goes wrong you haven't wasted disks, just do a 20 second fast erase on the rewriteable and it's good as new.
