Re: problems with discs skipping

Use Verbatim Brand only for DL burning CloneCD not CloneDVD2.

Re: problems with discs skipping

You may be burning too fast. Try burning at 1/2 of the disc's rated speed and make sure your firmware is up to date.

Re: problems with discs skipping

A very slow burning speed is equally as bad as burning too fast. Try an intermediate speed.

CloneCD will work but you'll need DL discs.

Verbatim +R DL only with Clonecd, of course (ensure your burner offers bitsetting changes)

Your problem is most likely caused by +R DL junk/cheap media in combination with Clonedvd2 (this combination can cause skipping right around the layer break position). 1x is too slow as well.

Simply switching to Clonecd may fix your problem; using Verbatim +R DL media and Clonecd ensures your problem will be gone (and ensures the original layer break position will be retained).

Essentially, I agree with Rolling56.
