| Problem with 'When a stranger calls' R1 DVD Hey Everyone: I am trying to backup my recently purchased copy of "When a Stranger Calls." Its a R1 disc. When I go to copy it, using Clone DVD2 v. 2.8.9.8. and AnyDVD v. 5.9.4.1., I get to the last step and when I press 'GO' a box pops up saying: CREATION OF DVD FILE WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL, UNEXPECTED ERROR. When I click on details, the following is offered: CloneMap 2 TCE. Please advise!!!! Thanks so much. Here is my AnyDVD2 Log: Summary for drive E: (AnyDVD 5.9.4.1) Drive (Hardware) Region: 0 Media is a Data DVD. Booktype: dvd-rom (version 1), Layers: 2 (opposite) Size of first Layer: 2084960 sectors (4072 MBytes) Total size: 4169920 sectors (8144 MBytes) Video DVD (or CD) label: When_A_Stranger_Calls Media is CSS protected! Video Standard: NTSC Media is locked to region(s): 1! RCE protection not found. Found & removed wrong DVD structure! Structural copy protection not found. Autorun not found on Video DVD. Found & removed 1 bad sector protections! Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1! |

| Re: Problem with 'When a stranger calls' R1 DVD @ DJDVD, Suggest visiting SlySoft (http://www.slysoft.com) and download the latest current up to date version of AnyDVD v5.9.6.1. Your copy of AnyDVD v5.9.4.1 is 8 versions old and is outdated. Best Regards, bjkg |

| Re: Problem with 'When a stranger calls' R1 DVD From the AnyDVD log that was posted, looks like the drive region of your hardware needs to be set to region 1, and not 0. That might be the cause of the problem, not sure though. The copy of the same movie that I have, has a bunch of useless protection on it, such as arccos, bad sector protections, bogus title sets, wrong dvd structure, etc. |
