Pioneer stop burning using clonedvd I thought I would share the problem I have had for the past three days. My 109 started taking forever when using clonedvd to even start to burn and then it would stop after burning a small amount or it would keep running for hours with clonedvd still showing it waiting to start to burn. My problem was that I had done the following over the past two weeks. Installed a third hardrive and moved my programs and files to it. Updated zone alarm to the latest update and it was giving me problems Loaded 158 firmware for the 109 and then updated it to the A09 version Loaded the latest updates for anydvd and clonedvd Started on a new hub of 50 prodisc And I am sure there were a few other things also and all this made it hard to find out what the problem was; I reload the two software’s, tried different disk on the Hub thinking that they might be bad, removed and reinstall old firmware and the back to new one a few times, Burned a couple of disk with nero and they seem to burn but not very fast, Downloaded software to test the blank dvds, Removed the drive from windows and reinstalled, I found that if I stopped the disk while it was taking forever in clonedvd to do the setup it would not be written to so I did stopped it by restarting windows with the reset button on the computer. Since going to the task bar and stopping it did not work, I burned one of the disk that clonedvd did not like on my old lg burner and it burned ok, I moved the two drive around from master to slave and last I reloaded windows clean install. This is short list on what I did but at last I said it is time to open it up and clean the laser and when I did I found a hair inside it . I think might have been causing some of the problems along with cleaning the laser. After doing this and reinstalling it was back it was back to the great burner I expected it to be. Do not know if it was the hair or dirty laser or if I moved a something around inside to make it work but it works and that is all that matters. Also I know have my first TY DVDS coming form supermediastore instead of buying prodisc form shop4tech since I am not sure the DVDs were real prodisc to start with. I figure it is time to go to TY since you all keep saying that is the way to go.

Re: Pioneer stop burning using clonedvd Tayio Yuden in my opinion is the best of DVD Media, I never purchased from supermediastore but have had outstanding service buying from Rima.com. When you buy from them you can rest assured you are getting first grade Tayio Yuden's. Glad to hear you got the burner working properly again, looks like them hair balls caused havoc on you burner. With all the solutions you tried maybe sub consciously you were pulling your hair out and it found it's way into the burner, s**t happens you know.

Re: Pioneer stop burning using clonedvd Yes I sure felt like pulling out my hair but I figure it was one of this long hair dog we have hair that got on the cotton cloth I use to wipe of DVDs. My wife got me clippers last week to cut it hair so I guess I will have to get around to it. The burner is really working great again.
