Newbie CloneDVD Question

Hi.

I'm a new purchaser of CloneDVD/CD/AnyDVD and so far so good.

Now, I have a question and i'm not really sure if the software can do it - but I'll ask anyway.

I have a number of Classical Baby DVDs for my daughter. Each runs around 25-30 minutes. I can make 1:1 copies - but is it possible to make 3:1 copies? As in - put all 3 movies on 1 disk? This way, I don't have to keep changing disks.

Menus aren't even needed (outside of an initial pick movie 1, 2 or 3).

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I don't believe CloneDVD2 is capable of this.
However, DVDShrink is, since it can select multiple titles from different directories when compiling a new dvd to be burned in "Reauthor" mode. Search for it on the internet. It is not as intuitive to use as CloneDVD2, but has a number of very useful features not included in CloneDVD2. It is free and works great.

Re: Newbie CloneDVD Question

Rich is correct that CloneDvd is incapable of creating a compilation like this.

dvd shrink can make a compilation but is not capable of giving you a menu.

since i never really do this, i'm not sure what to recommend in its place, but if you use dvd shrink in reauthor mode to create the compilation you won't be able to have any type of menu.

and if your kid is into the classical stuff (baby mozart, etc.) just wait until they're old enough for Little Einsteins! those things are like toddler crack...my cousin will watch the same one 5 times in a row if I let her...

Re: Newbie CloneDVD Question

@ Starlin,

Welcome to the Forum.

Unfortunately the CloneDVD software program does not do compilation (joining two or more) DVD’s.

The CloneDVD software program focus is on copying Commercial DVD Movie Titles and is not a DVD authoring software program.

Your DVD compilation project requires a DVD authoring program. An excellent DVD authoring program is Pegasys TMPGEnc DVD Author (http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda.html)

Best Regards,

Re: Newbie CloneDVD Question

Hi again.

Thank you all for your help!

And Little Einstein - The Disney Channel has been playing them every morning - so DVR from Time-Warner is a VERY nice thing...

I'll dig around the net and see what I can come up with - but thanks for the links and the help!
