Having Problems Backing Up the Movie ( Thing )

I've been able to back-up alot of my DVD collection however
the movie the ( Thing ) is not allowing me to back it up.
The software I'm using is CloneDVD2 and AnyDVD.
I'm also using a Pioneer 106BK burner and Lite On 165/166 DVD Rom.
I haven't changed anything software or hardware wise since I started backing up my dvd collection.
The movie plays fine.
The problem is I'm getting an error message that says

"creation of DVD files was not successful.
Scheduler 0 G:/VIDEO_TS: Directory not found TCE "

This is the 1st time I have had a problem like this before.
Any idea what the problem could be?
All information is helpful.

Can you check that you're using the latest versions of this software?

Is The Thing Region 1?

The ( thing ) is region 1 and I am using the latest versions of the software.
I was finally able to burn the movie using DVD shrink.
I just like to know why I couldn't use CloneDVD 2.
Any more ideas?

Did you try it without "preserve menus" selected?
I had a similar problem with The World Is Not Enough
http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread....threadid=90112
but with a missing VOB file rather than Directory entry. Seems the structure of the DVD menu might be the problem which CloneDVD can't handle if menus are preserved, but DVDShrink can.
Hopefully there will be a resolution forthcoming.
