Dolby Digital Sound

Hi

When you transcode with CloneDVD, does the Dolby Digital channel 5:1 remain the same as the original? In other words when you play your backup DVD using your Home Theater gear, will the sound be as the original DVD?

Yes.

Transcoders don't alter the audio track(s), other than to delete them at your option.

Ive noticed using clonedvd with a dolby digital mono dvd (ie old james bond) when clone dvd writes it makes the dvd 6 channels..seems to work well

but if its already dolby digital 5.1 it will sound the same as the original or DTS for that manner.
